USF Area Civic Association |
Each year, hundreds of children attend the University Area Community Holiday Festival. For these children, the presents they receive here may be the only Christmas gifts they will have. Demographic studies of the University Area Community by the Federal government show it to be one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in all of Florida. The University Area Community Development Corporation was formed to bring both state and local government together with community leaders and residents to increase economic development, job opportunities, and affordable housing.
Amscot Financial contributed $1,000.00 toward the holiday program this year. The donation was used to help fund the Holiday Festival which provides services to families in this area, and specifically, to help bring Christmas to the children of this community. |
